European Gull Visits Brooklyn
Damn, I promised myself I was going to finish the first draft of Refactoring HTML today come hell or high water, and I’m on track to do it; but a European gull I don’t have on my life list has showed up at the Soccer field in Gerritsen Beach, just a short bus ride away. What to do? What to do?
I think I’m going to be good today and stay home and write. I’ll hope the bird is still there tomorrow. This one’s already been seen two days in a row, and usually vagrant birds are either one-day wonders, or they hang around for a week or more. Even if I miss it here, I should be able to log the species (Common Gull) in Europe later in the year. Frankly, it’s a little surprising I don’t have it already.
